Workout Legging Review Day 8 – Athleta

Here we are again to find out the burning question about workout leggings! Which is the best? Well, today I wore a cute Athleta brand yoga legging. I have never purchased anything from Athleta before, but I’ve seen and heard of them as a top-quality brand. I didn’t know they are in the Gap/Banana Republic family until I received my order and the markings were on the packaging. I loved the look and feel of these leggings as soon as I took them out of the box, I could tell they were a quality brand. Now to determine the comfort and functionality level for life and Lifetime (Fitness).

Product Details:

Description: For indoor and outdoor yoga practice and life off the mat.

Color: Prism Pink

Cost: Regular $89 – Final sale: $39.97

Features: High rise waist that holds you in, supportive compression. No side seams. Hidden pocket.

These leggings were comfortable to wear; soft and supportive. I was pulling them up through the thighs from time to time, but I don’t know if that is a flaw of my body type or their design, so that’s something to consider. The fabric is thick, quality, wicking material. It held a lot of moisture at the waistband. I don’t expect a legging to be able to feel dry when I spend 20 minutes sweating in the sauna and then head to an hour or so, workout. That would be a ridiculous of me. I just felt that with a couple of the other brands I didn’t feel it as much.

I’m sure you’ve noticed I rarely paid full price for any if not all these leggings. I’m always looking for a good deal. It is possible to get high-quality brands at an affordable price. Which brings me to tomorrow’s review of Old Navy Activewear.

Workout Legging Review Day 7 – Victoria Sport

**I attempted to post this last night, but the Word Press site was acting up. **

I’m posting this late. It was a long day with my 2 and 3-year-old today, so I didn’t get to the gym until after they went to bed. Tuesdays and Thursdays are my cardio days, but I still try to always do my 20 minutes in the sauna to sweat out those toxins. This is significant and you’ll see why in the embarrassing pictures below. That brings me to the details of the Victoria Sport workout leggings I’m reviewing today…

Description: Anytime Cotton Lace-up Capri

Color: Neon Nectar

Cost $39.50 on Clearance for $24.99

Features: Softer than ever in a cotton-modal blend, with sexy lace-ups on sheer mesh

There are a few things I feel I need to comment on. These ARE Victoria Sport leggings, but I don’t feel like they are intended for sport. The description says “anytime” which, NOW, makes me think perhaps they are intended more for lounging…??? They are cotton. They do not draw moisture out in the same way that ANY of the previous leggings did. I purchased these a week or so ago, so I was not in the mindset yet that cute is not a priority when purchasing workout leggings. These are more cute than functional. My husband was fond of the way they fit, however.

Personally, I think they were cuter in the online picture, too. The way the “sexy lace-ups” are attached is a little weird. So, not as cute as I thought AND not functional for a sweaty workout as the pictures show. We’ll see how they place at the end of the eleven days of reviewing.

Tomorrow I’ll be wearing Athleta, a brand I’ve never tried before, so I’m excited.
